How Axiom came to Zeal
The music started long ago with a successful and driven high school rock group.
The band Maxwell Prod played rock, punk and blues all over the Columbia River
Gorge. It proved a formative musical experience.
Axiom to Zeal began versatile in style and size, while members attended college
and branched out into musical and other endeavors.
Singer/songwriter Joshua Lind performed in intimate acoustic settings. Drummer
Kris played with Jazz and rock bands as well as hip-hop production. The
group played shows mixing rock classics and original songs, like a weekly ‘Thirsty
Thursday’ in a college town.
Now Axiom to Zeal remains Josh’s solo project.
To toss out a few genres labels, the music is: acoustic, folk-rock, indie, emo,
alternative, roots, etc. The music is often a lovers#8217; journal or scraps of coversations,
granted a strick No-Emo-Lyrics-Pledge. The band combines small-town sincerity,
a love of rock’s character and modern life.
“I realized one day that I tell the future in my songs. My goal
is to shut-up and write subconsciously. Then I end up with honesty
and what’s hard to say… the best part of any music. Rock is America’s
culture and honesty it's the foundation of the future.”
A first class ride to hell leaves plenty of time for introspection… this
is why A-to-Z is found in America writing today.
Construct yourself again, from scratch. You'll never have a handle
on your own psychosis; stop for a second and look around. The world is full
of sleeping people, but at least we may be dreaming.
Here are the others who have helped fuel Axiom to Zeal.
