"Suckers lose themselves in the games they learn to play,
Children love to sing but then their voices slowly fade away.
People always take a step away from what is true,
That's why I like you around,
I want you."
Stephan Jenkins I Want You, Third Eye Blind (1997)

Wow, two posts so close together. You would almost think I was being productive. I have TWO new recordings to share!
I procrastinated other things and made: The Ugly Side of Sincerity (new window w/ song.) It's completely new and just wanted to be created.
The second is a quick mini cover of the New Order song Blue Monday (again new window.) Orgy did a remake, as did Flunk.
And don't forget to check out the other new one: Ally. It's a song thanking the people who helped me get on with life.
1/4/2006 [edit] Hey I actually recorded a songover the Christmas break; Ally. I lugged some equipment to my moms and decided to do a song that naturally fits with just one acoustic guitar. (I used Erik's, thanks.) I did get some demo versions of other songs recorded with Kris, but those need to be layed over (badly.)
Also, I have a short test cover of Blue Monday, but I'm running out of space on the server so ask if you want a copy.
One last thing... my new years resolution is to podcast so I'm curious what y'all use for your aggregator? your player? Plus, I'm putting my music out for free use on podcasts and wonder who I might target if you have any favorites.

I suppose I should at least post, since music seems to be on a hiatus. Dammit.
Well here is the link to what I've been up to... Digital Media at UW and my research course blog.
Apart from that, I've been doing some sparatic song writing and learning to play the piano better. All that music theory and lessons (from ancient history) actually seem to have had some effect.
I'm doing my best to arrange another Portland gig, but I think I should stop making promises and just say that I'll let everyone know when it happens. For now... please subscribe to the mailing list and go read myspace.com/axiomtozeal, you're already on there anyway.
10/5/2005 [edit] So, I may have promised too early that I would have new songs coming. Why you ask? Because I don't really have a place to live currently. Yes, Josh is technically homeless. But, not without lots of friends and family. I have a new spot days from set-up in Seattle.
The grad school is coming along famously. I love it. Wish me luck on the moving in process. I promise that new things are on the way as soon as I have everything in one place.
I'm sure another Portland show is not far away too!

Hello everyone. I haven't posted any news for a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy. I got some new equipment, which is getting some use. Expect uploads soon, but I have to finish my thesis first.
Here is a new song: The ballad of Ubermensch & Angst-boy. Thanks to Jordan B. for some great lyrics.
I have some things to sell on the way, so set aside a few pint dollars for me and I'll mail you something neato. Subscribe to find out when.
One last thing, there is a new little secret somewhere on the site. See if you can find it.
7/19/2005 [edit] Thanks Willow, Cynthia and Chic for the playing possbilities. I think it's time for a drive into Portland with some equipment in the back. Time to not be so bothered by trying to perfect things. I'll let you guys know the schedule. It would be helpful to subscribe if you please. Gracias.
Also, I just posted two new songs: keep going and feels alright, take it back. Plus, I never mentioned you are mine.
6/27/2005 [edit] Hey, hey look who finally made the pretentious leap into dot com ownership. I didn't know when it would happen but I gave in, so it's now. There are a few very sweet new features as well.
Add your favorite song to your mySpace or faceBook profile, or a Blog or liveJournal entry. Just click on a song, then grab the code at the bottom. There is an image and a text-only option.
I posted a new recorded song too: for every sprinkle I find. Enjoy.

I'm trying to expand out more and more. Check us/me out on mySpace and soon on pureVolume. Link to me, if you feel inclined. And... if you don't have a myspace account, perhaps you could teach me how you resisted. But hey, you can still listen for free and look for other cool bands.
